How Brexit will impact Liz Truss’s leadership bid

Following a long and arduous contest for Rishi, Liz Truss has been elected the Conservative Party’s next leader. Although Mr. Sunak could have garnered more support from Tory members, it’s obvious that Truss will be supported by the Parliamentary Party. The Queen will be meeting with her Queen tomorrow at Balmoral to formally assume the new position. There is no doubt that the Conservative Party is divided, and many of its members are angry with Mr. Sunak for “topping” Boris Johnson. However, it’s clear that Ms Truss is in a position to head the party and she will do so with the help of the majority of lawmakers.
