She received her Best Actress award at the SAG Awards in 1997

In 1997, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh was one of the few Asian actress to receive the Best Actress award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. She beat Cate Blanchett, Danielle Deadwyler and Viola Davis for the honor.
