The Significance of Attorney General Yost’s Work in Promoting Law Enforcement Excellence in Ohio

On Friday, Attorney General David Yost stated that Ohio’s most outstanding law enforcement officers will be honored at the “Statewide Law Enforcement Awards”. This Sunday, April 21, in the Ohio Statehouse will take place the ceremony. This ceremony will honor those who have made a difference and the members of Ohio State University’s police department for their service to society. More than 450 officers will be honored.

At his Law Enforcement Conference, the Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost recognized the top police officers from Ohio and all those working with their. The conference included several workshops in how to settle cold cases, increase confidence within communities and the federal hate crimes statutes and the development of leaders.

Five peace officers are also awarded and a civilian acknowledged for his contribution at the annual celebration. This includes Cmdr. Meader the 31-year old Columbus police officer who headed the Training Bureau.
